I got it !!!!

CASE :1                                          CASE : 2

FV = 100                                          INV.=75X
D%=10 %                                         FV= 100
MV=75                                              D %= 16 %
NOS = X                                           MV = 80
                                                          NOS = 75X / 80
AI1= 100*X*10%
                                                           AI2 = 75X/80 * 16 % * 100
= 10X                                                 = 15X
INV.=75X

given ;
 AI - AI 1 = RS. 2000
15X – 10 X = 2000
X= 400

thus, the original no. of shares is 400.
