A CUBICAL CAKE IS CUT INTO SEVERAL SMALLER CUBES BY DIVIDING EACH EDGE IN 7 EQUAL PARTS. THE CAKE IS CUT FROM THE TOP ALONG THE TWO DIAGONALS FORMING FOUR PRISMS . SOME OF THEM GET CUT & REST REMAINED IN CUBICAL SHAPE. A COMPLETE CUBICAL ( SMALLER ) CAKE WAS GIVEN TO ADULTS & THE CUT OFF THE PART OF A SMALLER IS GIVEN TO A CHILD( WHICH IS NOT AN ADULT). IF ALL THE CAKES WERE GIVEN EQUALLY EACH PIECE TO A PERSON , TOTAL HOW MANY PEOPLE COULD GET THE CAKE ?

Let the original cube measure 7 units along a side.

(1) The initial cuts along the edges create 343 cubes of edge length 1.

(2) The diagonal cuts (Assuming they are orthogonal to the face labelled as the bottom) create 168 half-cubes and 28 quarter cubes.

Thus there are 252 whole cubes,168 half-cubes, and 28 quater-cubes for a total of 448 pieces.
