CEED Exam Pattern and Duration of the Exam

CEED examination is conducted in a single session of three hours without any break. The examination is conducted in English. No special preparation is necessary for the exam but you will need to polish up your visualization, drawing, and rendering skills for CEED. Candidates should bring their own drawing materials, including different types of pencils and colors.

CEED Results

CEED results are only mailed to those who qualify. CEED scores are valid only for two years from the date of declaration of results.
Where are exams held?

CEED examinations are conducted at IIT and IISc campuses at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Mumbai, and Roorkee. Most of the centers are outside the main city and examination venues can be a good distance away from the main gate of the campus. While submitting the application form, candidates can indicate their preferred examination center.
Candidates are requested to report to the examination center, at least half an hour before the examination starts. Seating arrangements are displayed on the notice board of the examination centers.

CEED Exam Fees

General category students have to pay Rs. 990/- for offline submission of CEED application form and Rs. 950/- for online submission of the form.
Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), or Physically Disabled (PD) students have to pay Rs. 495/- for offline submission and Rs. 475/- for online submission of the CEED application form.

How many times you can give the exam?

There is no limit to the number of times a candidate can appear for CEED.
