Most complex &amp; beautiful organisms fall into this category. It involves two divisions\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2 viz. chordates &amp; non chordates. Chordates have more specified characters as compared to the non-chordates. \u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0If you learn this classification properly, you have specified certain marks in your pocket already. Yes I am going to tell you the features of the animals involved in those categories.-<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tetrapods <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Amphibians<\/strong> \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 They are the creatures with dual life. \u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0They are cold blooded animals. They lie between fishes &amp; terrestrial animals. In their larval form, they breathe like fishes. But after maturation (<strong>metamorphosis<\/strong>), they develop lungs as well. Let me tell you some of the features of class amphibian \u00c3\u0192\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amphibians have moist, scale less skin which absorbs water &amp; oxygen.<\/li>\n<li>They are very prone to dehydration condition therefore they have to live nearby water area.<\/li>\n<li>Different glands (<strong>poison glands<\/strong> too) used to be present on the skin.<\/li>\n<li>Certain amphibians can change their color just to protect themselves from the enemies.<\/li>\n<li>Their life cycle begins in water where fertilization occurs. Fertilized egg forms the larva which later on forms the tadpole. Tadpole breaths through gills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Amphibians are categorized into 3 orders viz. Some of them are ovoviviparous as well in which fertilized eggs remain in mother\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s womb.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Internal fertilization<\/strong> occurs in them.<\/li>\n<li>Scaly skin is use for movement &amp; not for respiration. Protein Keratin &amp; waxy lipid is present in their skin which reduces water loss.<\/li>\n<li>Cold blooded animals.<\/li>\n<li>Reptiles use lungs for respiration.<\/li>\n<li>Heart is 3 chambered with <strong>partially divided<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Reptiles show<strong> brumation<\/strong> which is similar to hibernation. During this time, they are less active &amp; don\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2t eat much.<\/li>\n<li>True sternum is present in reptiles.<\/li>\n<li>RBCs are nucleated.<\/li>\n<li><strong>12<\/strong> pairs of <strong>cranial nerves<\/strong> are present in them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Aves <\/strong>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 It include birds. That\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s why they have light body weight.<\/li>\n<li>Heart is four chambered in heart.<\/li>\n<li>Pelvic girdle is known as<\/li>\n<li>In many species. Navigational abilities are present.<\/li>\n<li>Nervous system is well developed. 12 pairs of cranial nerves are also present.<\/li>\n<li>Separate sexes are present &amp; they show parental care.<\/li>\n<li>Aves include 10,000 species of birds with <strong>29 orders<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Their eggs are hard shelled.<\/li>\n<li>Birds are bipedal (walk on 2 legs only)<\/li>\n<li>In feet, hand, head &amp; pelvis. Fused bone is present.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><strong>Mammals<\/strong> \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 It include breast feeding animals. They are warm blooded.
