The global conference will take place in Houston, Texas, U.S. \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 known as the Energy Capital of the World \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 for the first time. <b>Open to all, it will bring together more than 1500 techies, engineers and scientists<\/b> \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 of which more than 30% will be non-IITians.<\/p>\n<p>The theme of the conference is quite ambitious \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 How do we build a better world for current and future generations? The aim is to identify and develop innovative solutions to this challenge.<\/p>\n<p><b>More than 70 eminent local, national and international speakers<\/b> will participate in the event, including:<\/p>\n<p>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u00a2 Amartya Sen, who is a Nobel Laureate and also a Professor at Harvard University<\/p>\n<p>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u00a2 Anant Agarwal, who is the President of edX<\/p>\n<p>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u00a2 Andrew Gould, who is the Chairman of BG Group<\/p>\n<p>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u00a2 Andrew Ng, who is the co-founder of Coursera and also a Professor of Computer Science at the Stanford University<\/p>\n<p>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u00a2 Blake Irving, who is the CEO of GoDaddy.com<\/p>\n<p>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u00a2 Gene Krantz, who was the Director of the celebrated Apollo 13 Mission at NASA<\/p>\n<p>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u00a2 Renu Khator, who is President and Chancellor of the University of Houston<\/p>\n<p>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u00a2 Vicente Fox, who is a former President of Mexico<\/p>\n<p>Volunteers have been working for more than 15 months on all the aspects of the conference \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 such as its outreach, sponsorship, exhibits, program, business plan competition and marketing.<\/p>\n<p>The conference will be inaugurated by Mayor Annise Parker and P.
