It is one of the key pillars through which we engage our local community here in the UAE. We are always impressed by the strong presence and support we receive from the public.\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u009d<\/p>\n<p>As part of this edition of Volunteer Emirates, the participants refurbished and enhanced the school premises which included painting doors, repairing furniture, procuring and organising playground toys, assembling 30 computers and a projector, painting murals in the school hallways, equipping the library with educational books as well as landscaping the premises with plants donated by Dubai Desert Group.<\/p>\n<p>Over and above this, the team also organized the Chemistry lab with scientific equipment and also painted murals in the multi-function room.<\/p>\n<p>A. Najeeth, the chairman of Gulf Model School said, \u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c5\u201cThe Gulf Model School building was constructed in 1982 and there has not been much maintenance, which has been undertaken since then. Today, we are extremely grateful to Dubai Cares for asking volunteers to come into our school to boost the facility plus donate useful tools including lab equipment, computers, and educational facilities for our library.\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u009d<\/p>\n<p>The next edition of Volunteer Emirates 2014 is scheduled to take place during the last quarter of 2014.
