The country attracted scholars from across the globe.<\/p>\n<p>In the latest QC university rankings, no university from the country features in the top 10 in Asia. In fact, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.askiitians.com\/top-engineering-colleges\/iit-delhi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IIT-Delhi<\/a> is the only university from India at 38<sup>th<\/sup> position on the list. There are about 10 Indian universities featuring on the list.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;India must regain the lost glory of the past and once again become a centre for cross fertilisation of ideas from across the world,&#8221; Mukherjee said ensuring that the country will soon find its right place on the world education ranking.<\/p>\n<p>A special presentation was hosted at Rashtrapati Bhavan where a delegation comprising representatives from QS World University, ICAA, British Council, FICCI and KPMG were present.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c5\u201cIndian authorities will extend all possible cooperation to the delegation in obtaining necessary information in the appropriate format from Indian higher educational institutions. Higher educational institutions should be transparent and all relevant information should be published on their websites,\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u009d said the president to the delegation during the presentation.<br \/>\nIIT-Delhi was the top Indian Institution on the list ranked at 38<sup>th<\/sup> position while<a href=\"http:\/\/www.askiitians.com\/top-engineering-colleges\/iit-bombay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> IIT-Bombay<\/a> and<a href=\"http:\/\/www.askiitians.com\/top-engineering-colleges\/iit-kanpur\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> IIT-Kanpur<\/a> secured 41<sup>st<\/sup> and 52<sup>nd<\/sup> spot on the list.<br \/>\nNUS or National University of Singapore topped the QS University Rankings and Korea\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s KAIST was 2<sup>nd<\/sup> on the list. Last year, it was on the 6<sup>th<\/sup> position.
