The review of the Physics paper revealed that it was quite long and was quite different than Physics papers of previous years. While most students think that the paper was quite tough, teachers was not tough but it had several unexpected questions.

Divya Singh, Principal of DAV Bariatu, says, “Class 12 board exams define careers of students in many senses. The board marks carry a significant weightage in AIPMT and IIT-JEE admission processes. This year, Physics paper was not tough but it had a different tone. If students had not been under stress and anxiety of writing board exams, they would have been to fare better in the exam.”

Students have a different viewpoint. Veer Pratap from Bareli says, “Physics paper this year was the hardest test I have ever face. I had pegged high marks for Physics but now I wonder if I will be able to face even 50% marks. Two to three questions were new and indirect. Only last four questions were asked from the important topics that had been suggested to us. Many of my friends were crying after the exam.”

Priya, another Class 12 student, “Physics exam was just too difficult this year. It was lengthy. Some questions were not from NCERT books while other questions were tricky.” Her friend Madiha added, “5-mark questions were easy but I did not know many of the 1-mark questions.”
This post was published by Rakesh Singh, The product head at askIITians and an IIT- Delhi and IIM-Kozhikode alumni.

New Delhi: The CBSE Class 12 Physics board exam was conducted on March 5, 2014.
