At 28, this ex-<a title=\"AskIITians.com | Engineering College | Indian Institute Of Technology Mumbai\" href=\"http:\/\/www.askiitians.com\/top-engineering-colleges\/iit-bombay\/\">IIT-Bombay<\/a> student is already riding high on success with his remarkable venture in transport sector\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<i>Olacabs<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Only two years in existence and <i>Olacabs<\/i> turns out to be a smart successful transport venture in India. <i>Olacabs<\/i> received financial aid from Tiger Global and Matrix Partners. So with capital and talent in place, Bhavish Aggarwal is all geared to make his dream venture a pan-India company.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.askiitians.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/ola.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2017\" alt=\"ola\" src=\"https:\/\/www.askiitians.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/ola.png\" width=\"221\" height=\"175\" \/><\/a>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c5\u201cBeing from IIT and given his computer science degree, he is clearly a smart guy. But he is the most talented entrepreneur I have seen irrespective of age,\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u009d said Avnish Bajaj, managing director of Matrix Partners.<\/p>\n<p>The transport sector in India has not seen much of innovation in last five decades despite exponential growth in other sectors around the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c5\u201cThere is a huge middle class, rising disposable income, technology&#8230; all of this put together can help build a much better experience. We are building technology for this ecosystem,\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u009d said Aggarwal during an interview.<\/p>\n<p>Bhavish accepts that <i>Olacabs<\/i> was not taking shape at Microsoft where he worked for a long time.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c5\u201cI wanted to make a big impact and create value,\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u009d he said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.askiitians.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Bhavish.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2018\" alt=\"Bhavish\" src=\"https:\/\/www.askiitians.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Bhavish.png\" width=\"167\" height=\"231\" \/><\/a>With<i> <\/i>8,000 vehicles and 500 employees, <i>Olacabs<\/i> is already a growing phenomenon.<\/p>\n<p>There are thousands of cab services available in India today but what makes <i>Olacabs<\/i> click among people is a totally different story. It clicks among people because it originated from an experiential view.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c5\u201cI have often seen entrepreneurs look at solutions looking for profit. What we can see is that new people are buying cars and getting into this. So the technology is enabling new supply. Just like in the case of eBay where sellers made a living from the platform,\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00c2\u009d he adds.<\/p>\n<p><i>Olacabs<\/i> has grown beyond expectations.
