Dates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Joint Entrance Examination, Main popularly called as JEE\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0 Main is the National Level examination conducted for the students seeking admission in Undergraduate Engineering Programmes at the NITs IIITs, and other government-funded Engineering institutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">JEE Main is also the eligibility for JEE Advanced <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">which is the entrance exam for admission to programmes offered by the IITs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The exam will be conducted twice a year: in January and in April. There are two papers in the exam:<strong> Paper 1\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0<\/strong> for B.E &amp; B.Tech and <strong>Paper 2<\/strong> is for B.Arch &amp; B.Planning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-10589\" src=\"https:\/\/www.askiitians.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/All-About-JEE-Main-2020.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eligibility Criteria<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The eligibility criteria for JEE Mains 2020 as released by The <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Testing Agency (NTA) is as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Age Limit:<\/strong> Students with date of birth on or after October 1, 1995, will be eligible. The Reserved category candidates have been given relaxation in Age Limit as per the Government norms.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Year of Passing Qualifying Examination:<\/strong> Students who passed their XII or equivalent exam in 2018, 2019 or appearing in 2020 are eligible for applying in JEE Main 2020.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Subjects in Qualifying Examination:<\/strong> Students with Physics and Mathematics along with either Chemistry or Biology or Biotechnology are eligible for Paper 1 of JEE Main 2020. For Paper 2, Mathematics is a mandatory subject with 50% aggregate in 5 subjects. Candidates must have 5 subjects in their qualifying paper.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Number of Attempts:<\/strong> Students can appear for the exam thrice, that too in consecutive years. Appearing for both the sessions in the same year will be counted as a single attempt.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Application Form<\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every candidate is required to fill only one application form. Multiple Application is subject to rejection.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The application filling process will start from 2nd September for the January session and from 7th February for the April Session.
