Although, it is expected to be imposed in the first level and the amount would be decided by the state authorities<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>NTSE Reservation Criteria<\/b><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">15% for students belonging to SC category.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">7.5% for students belonging to ST category.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">27% for students belonging to OBC category.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">10% for students belonging to EWS (Economically Weaker Section) <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SC, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">not covered in ST and OBC <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">category.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4%for Physically Challenged group of students<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><b>For Students Studying in Abroad:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students studying abroad can also appear for NTSE and can fill the form in October 2019. A student who is studying in class 10th in the school outside India will be exempted from the first stage of examination and can appear directly in the second stage. The only condition is that a student should have obtained at least 60% marks in the previous annual examination.\u00c3\u201a\u00c2\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A candidate will have to appear in the NTS examination at a center in India at her\/his own cost. A candidate desiring to appear in the NTS examination may request the same through the head of the institution where he or she is studying along with an attested copy (by the head of the institution) of the mark sheet of Class IX. The request should reach the Head, Department of Educational Survey Division, NCERT, New Delhi-110016 the latest by 31 December of the concerned year. The Council shall allot roll numbers to the eligible candidates and inform them about the date, time and venue of examination along with other relevant instructions.
