Must Read: Do's and Don'ts for UPSEE 2019 Counselling!

 

The counselling process for UPSEE 2019 will be started on 4th week of June , 2019 (Tentative). This process involves three main steps:

  • Verification of documents

  • Choice filling of courses and institutes

  • Seat allocation

The first and foremost step towards counselling- verification of documents will be started from second week of July 2019 (Tentative).

Counselling is just a step away to the final admissions and there are no chances of making mistakes during the entire process. To ensure the same, here are some do’s and don’ts that the aspirants should adhere to:

Do's:

  • Check all the details for UPSEE 2019 on the official website thoroughly. The schedule for each activity and the time allotted to complete the same should be kept in mind.

  • Students should check all the available information about the various colleges accepting UPSEE 2019 scores on their websites to make a correct decision.

  • For the verification of documents, students should visit the colleges on a date and time when there is minimum rush at the centre. For this, candidates  can check the following information to avoid the crowd:

Rank 70,001 till 1,00,000 (B.Tech)

All qualified candidates of MBA/ MCA/MAM/ MCA 2nd Year (Lateral Entry)

Rank 1,00,001 Onwards (B.Tech)

All qualified candidates of MBA/MCA/MAM/MCA 2nd Year (Lateral Entry)

July 2019

All remaining qualified candidates whose documents could not be verified (All Streams)

  • Aspirants must carry their original certificates along with the attested photocopies of the certificates.

  • Candidates must ensure that certificates for the various categories are issued by the designated authorities in the format as given in the brochure of UPSEE 2019.

  • Students must deposit a non-refundable fee of Rs 500 as the counselling fee along with a set of attested photocopies of their certificates at the verification centre.

  • Ensure an OTP is received post the completion of verification process.

  • Must fill a greater number of choices and institutes to ensure a seat.

  • Students must ensure the choices are locked after they fill them.

Don’ts:

  • Do not judge any verification centre based on the false impression or image of the institute. All the verification centres have been authorised by the University.

  • Do not leave/ deposit the original certificates with anyone at the verification centre.

  • Don’t panic at any point in the process. If the rush at any verification centre is too much, students can go to any other nearby verification centre or may turn up on another day as per the convenience.

  • Do not rely on any advice given by an unauthorised person or agency during the verification process. Candidates must only seek advice from the officials at the verification centre.
