EXAM CENTERS

The UPCMET exam 2015 is held across various cities across the country. The cities are Agra, Allahabad, Bareilly, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Ghaziabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow (two locations), Meerut, Delhi (seven locations), Patna, Ranchi and Varanasi. Candidates are advised to visit to get the exam center codes, addresses and pick their choices.

  • Exam centers are chosen by candidates at the time of filling out applications.

  • City and address for the center of examination will be given on the Hall Ticket.

  • No request for change of center will be considered under any circumstances.

  • Candidates must bear all costs such as transportation, etc., to appear for the examination.

  • Timings of the exam are mentioned on the Admit Card and it is the responsibility of the candidate to reach the center to enter the examination hall half-an-hour before the scheduled commencement of exam.

COURSE INFORMATION

UPCMET MBBS is a four year under graduate programme followed by compulsory one year rotator internship.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates need to appear for a pre medical test UPCMET 2015 to qualify.

Domicile and Age Eligibility

  • Candidate seeking admission to UPCMET should be an Indian citizen.

  • She/he must have attained 17 years of age at the time of admission or should complete 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2015.

Academic Eligibility

The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below

  • The Higher Secondary Certificate/Indian School Certificate Examination/U.P.Board/Central Board of Education Examination or an equivalent examination thereto comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

  • The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at the qualifying examination

  • Applicants belonging to Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology individually and must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination

  • Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying examination in March / April 2015 and whose results have not yet been declared can also apply for admission and appear in the pre medical test, if other eligibility criteria are satisfied.

Entrance Examination Eligibility

Admissions shall be made on the basis of inter-se merit of the candidates qualified at all India entrance exams.

  • Candidates belonging to the open category must secure not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the UPCMET 2015 examination.

  • Candidates belonging to backward classes must secure not less than 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the examination conducted for UPCMET 2015.

Submission of Application Form

Application for UPCMET may be submitted personally or mailed (by registered post/speed post/courier) to the above mentioned address.

  • The application must be submitted with a DD as specified.

  • Incomplete application, application with false details or application form not accompanied by a demand draft would be rejected.

General Instruction for Filling out Application Form

  • Read the prospectus and the instruction carefully.

  • The candidate should acquaint himself/herself with all requirements with regard to filling up the application on-line as well as submission of UPCMET application form.

ADMIT CARDS

Admit Cards for UPCMET can be downloaded from the website with the application form number and date of birth.

  • The UPCMET admit card will indicate the seat number, the examination centre (with its address) allotted to the candidate.

  • The candidate shall not mutilate the admit card or change any entry made therein after it has been authenticated.

  • Any changes in Admit Card can be rectified before 23rd May 2015 by  www.upumcwa.org or contact at 9897600270. 

  • Note that issue of Admit Card for UPCMET is just a provision for appearing for the entrance examination and does not imply that the candidate is eligible for admission in MBBS.

SYLLABUS & PATTERN FOR UPCMET 2015

Syllabus

The syllabus for the combined entrance test for Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and English will be based on syllabus followed by 10+2 Boards/Universities. Click here to download complete syllabus..

The Medical Council of India (MCI) recommended the syllabus for All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Test (NEET (AIPMT)), 2015 to MBBS/ courses across the country (NEET (AIPMT)) after review of various State syllabi as well as those prepared by CBSE, NCERT and COBSE. This is to establish uniformity across the country keeping in view the relevance of different areas in Medical Education.

Exam Pattern

The UPCMET 2015 exam will be conducted through two papers. The first paper will cover Physical and Biological Sciences while the second paper will cover topics from General English. It will be conducted in English and shall carry 200 multiple choice questions from Physical and Biological sciences and 50 Questions from General English.

Appearing for the UPCMET 2015 Exam

It is mandatory for the candidate appearing for entrance exam for medical to report 30 minutes before the start of the exam at the center mentioned on the admit card.

  • Read and follow instructions carefully.

  • Read each question carefully before choosing the correct answer.

  • Use black ball point pen only.

  • Select the answer only if you are sure of the answer and darken circle accordingly in your OMR booklet.

  • For every incorrect answer, 0.25 or ¼ marks will be deducted.

  • Duplicate answers are also counted as incorrect answers. So darken circle only when sure of an answer. Candidates are not allowed to use whiteners or any other correction fluid. .

  • Candidates are advised to go through the Mock Test for various entrance exams for medical admissions to understand UPCMET medical exam pattern.

Merit list of candidates will be displayed on the notice board of colleges, the website and the registered office.

  • Candidates must lock their choice of counseling centers for off-center counseling on the Internet while depositing the Counseling fees. On-Centre Counseling will be held on June , 2015 (Tuesday) from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM at different centers. The list of such centers will be notified through the website by June , 2015. The candidates, in person, may attend the counseling at any of these centers as per their convenience.

  • Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility requirements as stated in the prospectus before reporting for MBBS counseling.

  • Physical presence of the candidate is mandatory on the MBBS counseling date 2015. If a candidate is prevented by unavoidable circumstances from being physically present for the counseling he/she may authorize another individual to represent him/her at the counseling. This representative must carry the letter of authorization

  • Candidates will be required to attend MBBS Counseling and Medical Examination at the Institute at their own cost on the notified date.

  • Absence of the candidate or his/her representative at the indicated reporting time and date will result in the instantaneous forfeiture of any claim for a seat.

  • The appearance at UPCMET 2015 and inclusion of name in the merit list do not necessarily mean that candidate shall get admission to the course. Admission to the course shall depend upon the availability of seat at the time of turn for & MBBS admission.

  • At the time of counseling, candidates have to produce all documents as stipulated and other terms and conditions as stated in all Indian PMT forms.

  • Admissions made at the MBBS admission sessions 2015 are provisional, subject to verification of eligibility.
