The JEE Main 2022 counselling schedule will be announced soon by the authorities. Candidates who have qualified in the entrance examination will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. The counselling process will include various steps like registration, document verification, choice filling, seat allotment etc.
The counselling process will be conducted in online mode and the candidates will be required to provide their preferences for the colleges and courses they wish to pursue. The seat allotment will be done based on the candidate’s merit rank and preferences.
The counselling process for JEE Main 2022 exam will be conducted by the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority). The counselling process is expected to begin in September 2022 - after the JEE Advanced, 2022 is held on August 28, 2022. JoSAA will conduct six rounds of counselling for the NIT+ system. After that, if seats remain vacant, CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) will conduct two special rounds of counselling to fill the remaining vacant seats.
The final allotment of seats is expected to take place in November 2022.
