Filling JEE Main 2022-2023 Application Form - A Step by Step Guide 

 

JEE 2022 is conducted in two sessions. The first session was conducted from 23 June 2022 to 29 June 2022 and the second session will be conducted from 21 July 2022 to 30 July 2022. To participate in each session, students had to fill out an application form. Earlier, JEE Main 2022 exam was to be conducted in April and May. We can expect that Jee Main 2023 will be scheduled for April and May months only. Given below are the important dates for JEE Main 2022 that you must take note of. Online Application Form for JEE Main 2022

 

Every candidate has to register themselves for the examination session by filling an online application form. According to the latest update on JEE Main 2022, the application forms will again be available for the second session once the first session results are out. This way, students will get another chance to appear in the JEE. 

 

There are three steps to filling the application form: 

  • Step 1 - Registration Form  
  • Step 2 - Application Form (Filling in personal details, applying for examination cities, qualification details, additional details (if any), and document upload)  
  • Step 3 - Fee Payment

 

How to fill JEE Online Application Form 2022?

Step 1: Registration Process 

First, you need to fill out the registration form for JEE Main 2022. Here’s how you can do it. 

  • Go to jeemain.nta.nic.in.
  • Click on apply for JEE Main 2022. 
  • Click on New Registration. 
  • Read the instructions carefully and click on the checkbox once you are done. 
  • Add details in the registration form like date of birth, email id, phone number, nationality, gender, etc. 
  • Verify your email id and phone number. Once verified, you cannot change them. 
  • Submit the registration form. 
  • You will get an application number that will be used for the further process. 

 

Step 2: Filling Application Form 

So, you have your application number. Now, it is time to complete the application process. In the application form, you have to fill your:

  • Personal details like nationality, gender, category, minority status, date of birth, etc. 
  • Details of your Class 10 and Class 12 like percentage, year of qualification, exam code, etc. 
  • Other details like Adhar number, parents’ details, family income, etc. 

 

Step 3: Uploading Scanned Documents

After successful filling out the application form, students have to upload documents such as: 

  • Photograph, 
  • Signature, 
  • Class 12 Marksheet. 

You must ensure that your face is completely visible in the photograph. The photo should have a white background. Given below are the specifications required for submission of scanned documents:

Step 4: Paying Application Fee

The last step of the application process is the payment of the application fees. You have to pay this fee online via net banking/credit card/debit card/UPI payments. You must note that UPI payment will not cost any extra charges while paying through credit or debit card will cost you an additional fee. Once the payment is made, you have to download the confirmation page. This payment is non-refundable. 

 

In the end, you must download the confirmation page of the application submission for future use.

There is no provision on the jeemain.nta.nic.in the website to recover the application number. If you have lost the application number, check the message received on your mobile phone after the successful submission of the application. You must also take a print or save the confirmation page of your application so that you can note the application number from there. At last, if you cannot find the application by any means, contact the NTA authorities and they will help you out. 

 

  • Is aadhaar card necessary for all candidates in India? 

No, aadhaar card is not mandatory. You can also provide passport details, ration card number, bank account number, or any other valid government identification. 

 

  • Can I change my category in the JEE Main 2022 application? 

Yes, you can do that before the registration date closes.
