IIT JEE 2012 Seat Reservation

ST/ SC aspirants reservation:

For ST – 7.5% Reserved

For SC – 15% Reserved

The above mentioned percentage reflects the percentage of seats reserved for ST and SC aspirants for the various programs in IITs, IT – BHU and ISM Dhanbad etc.

Aspirants belonging to ST / SC category are required to produce the original tribe/caste certificate issues by the authority.

OBC aspirants:

For the reservation in OBC category for IIT JEE 2012 an aspirant will be considered only if he/she belongs to the non – creamy layer of the OBC category. Aspirants belonging to the creamy layer in OBC category will not be entitled for the reservation in IIT JEE 2012.

For OBC – 27% Reserved

27% of the seats are reserved in all IITs, IT-BHU Varanasi and ISM Dhanbad.

PD aspirants:

For PD – 3%

For IIT JEE 2012 it will consider the following category of disability like Visual, Dyslexia, Hearing, Speech or Locomotors and benefit will be given to the aspirants who have 40% physical impairment.
