IIT JEE 2012 Eligibility Criteria

All the aspirants of IIT JEE 2012 should meet the basic eligibility criteria for the examination. Students falling in eligibility criteria will not be allowed for appearing in IIT JEE 2012 examination.  

All the aspirants must have been born on or after 1^st, October, 1987. It will be applicable for both General (GE) category and Other backward classes candidates (OBC)

Aspirants belonging to the Physical Disability (PD), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Schedule Caste (SC) must have been born on after 1^st, October,1982 

Aspirants who wish to appear for IIT JEE 2012 should either passes in the qualifying examination (QE) or on after 1^st, October, 2010 or appearing first time in 2012.

Aspirants who belong to OBC and GE category must secure at least 60 percent marks in their qualifying exams. Aspirants who belong to PD, ST and SC have to secure at least 55 percent marks in the qualifying exam to meet the eligibility criteria for IIT JEE 2012 registration.
