Kevin C.Sebastian, an askIITians student from Dubai, has topped the gulf region in the recently announced Results for IIT JEE 2011 Exam. He has secured an IIT JEE All India Rank of 2694 in IIT JEE 2011, there by becoming one of the IIT JEE 2011 Toppers and also qualifying for most of the sought after courses in one of the prestigious IITs.

Sebastian was a full time class room student at askIITians, who attempted the engineering entrance for IITs, the renowned Joint Entrance Examination for the first time. And it was no surprise when the IIT JEE 2011 Results were declared, he had been a consistent top performer. IIT JEE 2011 Topper in the gulf region, Sebastian attended the doubt sessions regularly, and now him being the Topper of IIT JEE Results 2011, once again proves that consistency is very important when it comes to be what is called a IIT JEE 2011 Results Topper.

This is quite different from what has been happening previously in case of IIT JEE Exam Toppers, in 2011 the gulf topper has got a rank of 2694, way better than previous cases. Generally, the zonal toppers IIT JEE are the ones getting the best of the ranks. IIT JEE 2011 toppers from abroad generally get a low rank. But this time, Sebastian has changed the trend. With this rank, this IIT JEE Toppers 2011 can definitely get one of the high-in-demand courses at IIT- Delhi, Powai, Kanpur etc.

With the declaration of the results IIT JEE 2011, the performance of all the zones in terms of providing IIT JEE 2011 Toppers came into limelight. IIT Madras zone topped with I. Prudhvi Tej securing an All India Rank 1. Shubham Mehta of IIT Bombay zone followed him with an AIR of 2. Shyamak Reddy and Burle Sai Kiranm both from the Madras zone grabbed the third and the fourth ranks respectively. Thus putting the IIT Madras on top for IIT JEE Toppers 2011.
Others in the cream layer included- Nishith Lohati from Bombay zone. the fifth topper.

In the female zone, Sumedha Garg from IIT Roorkee zone became the girl Topper IIT JEE 2011. In other categories, Junga Varun topped the OBC, while Ashish Sonone became the SC Topper of IIT JEE 2011.
