The lines marked in the image in the brackets are taken from the NCERT book for biology class XI. In these lines it is given that the descending Limb of the loop of Henle is permeable to water but almost impermeable to electrolytes so according to this shouldn`t the filtrate be diluted but here it is given that the filtrate concentrates as it moves down. please help me to get rid of the situation.

Good Question Many students gets this doubt.
The statement is correct.
The water is permeable (going out of Descending limb) to move into the blood capillaries due to which water quantity decreases ( becomes concentrated).
