Hi ! Raman ,
             In human evolution Dryopithecus is one of the oldest fossil which in term evolved into apes and man.
Dryopithecus discover from africa some part of Europe.Dryopithecus was hairy and walk like gorilla chimpanzee.
From a Dryopithecus Ramapithecus was formed.Ramapithecus was more man likeWHILE DRYOPITHECUS WAS LIKE Apes.

@@Raman !   DRYOPITHECUS  was a distinct miocene forerunner of gorillas and chimpanzees.these are one of the oldest primates of human evolution.
Dryopithecus was only remotely related to modern humans.This ancient had chimpanzees like limbs and facial features.its probably alternate between walking on its knuckle  and running on its hinds legs.
IT WAS DISCOVER IN FRANCE IN 1850’S.

the charecteristics of dryopithacus is 
1- it was 4 feet long and more closely resemble like monkey than a modern ape . 
2- the structure of limbs shows that it walked like that of modern chimpazees . 
3- it spent its life in the tree anjd probably a brachiator . 
4- its molar have a very little enamal . that says , it eats soft leaves and fruits . 
5- the first species discovered in france .
