Sin x + cos x =√2 cos x then cos x - sin x is equal to a)√2 cos x b)√2 sin x c)√2 ( cos x + sin x) d) none of these

sin x+cos x=root 2 cos x (sin x+cos x)^2=2cos^2 x sin^2 x+cos^2 x+2sin xcos x=2cos^2 x 2sin xcos x=2cos^2 x so therefore,here, sinx=cosx therefore, cos x-sin y=cos x-cos x=0 D OPTION

if sinx + sin 2 x+ sin 3 x = 1 , then prove that cos 6 x- 4cos 4 x + 8cos 2 x= 4 .This is the hardest question and I ...

Sin(x) +sin^3(x) = 1-sin^2(x) => sin^2(x)[1+sin^2(x)]^2=cos^4(x)=> [1-cos^2(x)][2-cos^2(x)]^2=cos^4(x)Cos^6(x) - 4cos^4(x) + 8cos^2(x) = 4

if tanA = -(tanB)/2 = -1/3 then find A in terms of pi.

if tanA = -(tanB)/2 = -1/3 Given tanA = -1/3 A = arctan(-1/3) => -0.321 radian And tanB = 2/3 B = arctan(2/3) = > 0.588 radian

If area of a bounded curve is asked, the which area (numeric or signed) is to be calculated?

area is never negative . so area should always be calc with modulus function . while integrating , we must split the integral at the points where the curves intersect . hope this helps you.
