Hi

Since India is basically the country where outsourcing is done from countries like U.S and IT is one such indusry . India is not much affected by recession but U.S is much more affected which has led to the direct impact on our IT sector, which has gone down in this past yr.

So, EC is a much better option than IT these days , although one should prefer a better college over the branch choices , but If there is nt much diff inthe status of clgs then go for EC. EC has got fine scope ahead in India itself and most of the companies pay good to EC engineers.

IT is still a good field and just needs some time for economy to stabilise and it'll be back on track.
