Total no. of seats Through EML counseling is only 2000 for which there are 1000 students above you ( not getting seats through IIT counselling ) are also eligible. So you are most unlikeley to get this branch there but you will definately get the branch of your choice at other colleges.
Regarding AIEEE also your rank is not so good but you will get to some of the NITs. Prefer opting for some core branches like Electrical, Mechanical, Civil ( as you wont be getting the best of NITs ) so that you can give competitive exams like IES after graduation also. Avoid NITs like Patna, Silchar, Srinagar or Agartala.
Go for counselling for both the colleges and if you luckily get IIST than prefer that else NITs would be better option.
