There are many top engineering colleges other than IIT , like UPES UTM-Shillong, DTU, NIT, NSIT, bhartiya vidyapith. 
Every college has their own requirement of take in, i am from UTM so i’ll be able to tell you about UTM it is good and the admissions will be soon. you can check their websites regularly , you can also check the websites of UPES coz these takes their own entrance while the other colleges like NIT and NSIT and DTU takes through AIEEE these days.
