An ideal monoatomic gas initially at 300k undergoes exp. at a pres of 2.5kPa. If vol. increases frm 1m 3 to 3m 3 then heat added to gas & its final temp is. a) 12500j,450k b)12500j,600k c)12500j,900k d)25000j,1200k pls tell how.

W = Pext dV = 2.5 kpa * (3 -1) = 5 k J final temperature of the gas pressure is constant ...... v is proportional to T temperature 900 k . internal energy change = Cv dT = 3 /2 * 8.3 * 600 use first law of thermodynamics .
