In ortho nitrophenol the nitro group has electron withdrawing effect which increases it`s acidity while the electron donating effect of methoxy group in ortho methoxyphenol decreases its acidity.

First Reason is:
Due to intramolecuar attraction
Second Reason is:
in nitrophenol the NO2 has the tendency to show -M effect very very much greater than -OCH3 as OCH3 is an slectron donating group would make the compound basic not acidic.

It is due to the more negative inductive and negative resonance effect, electron density decreases on O-H bond and hence lose of a proton becomes easy
In a case of methoxy due to positive inductive effect electron density increases hence lose of a proton becomes difficult
