In crystalline solids,there is regular and repeating pattern of constituent particles.If three dimensional arrangement of these constituent particles in a crystal is represented diagrammatically,where each particle is represented as point,then such arrangement is called crystal lattice.Thus ,a regular three-dimensional arrangement of points in space is called a crystal lattice.The smallest portion of crystal lattice is called unit cell.
