For FCC, Z = 4
Number of octahedral voids = Number of atoms per unit cell = z = 4

Because the octahedral sites per sphere is present only in the octahedral void in the body centre

For FCC, the answer will be 12/4 + 1 = 4 octahedral sites per unit cell.....For bcc, the no. of octahedral sites per unit cell are 12/4 + 6/2 = 6...
