the equilibrium concentration of a and b for the reaction a(g) +2b(g)===c(g) are 3M and 4M respectively.if the volume of vessel is doubled and equilibrium is allowed to re establish ,then the equilibrium concentration of b is 3M. what is equilibrium constant Kc for this reaction?

                   a(g)          +          2b(g)                 ===>                       c(g)
at t=0          p                             q                                                       0
at t = t        p – x                        q – x                                                  x
Now given, at eqm.,

p – x = 3          and    q  –  x = 4

After volume is made doubled then the concn. gets half by initial.
Therefore,
given thhen
(q-x)/2 = 3
