work function = h [\nu] 0= 1 ev
Energy of photon = h [\nu] = hc/ [\lambda]
By photoelectric effect we know,
hc/ [\lambda] = h [\nu] 0+ 1/2mv2
Now we know the values of each unit (c= speed of light, h = planck’s constant, m = mass of electron)just substitute and you will get the answer.
