The common element present in the anode mud or and antimony Selenium silver gold and Platinum this element being less reactive are not affected by c u s o4 s 2 S o4 solution and have settled down under anode as anode mud

The elements present in the anode mud are Tellurium,Selenium,Antimony,Gold,Silver and Platinum.Recovery of these elements may meet to the cost of refining
Copper in its pure form called as blister copper ,during refining these impurities are removed which are known as anode mud

In electrolytic refining of copper, the common elements present in anode mud are selenium, tellurium, silver, gold, platinum, and antimony.

 

These elements are very less reactive and are not affected during the purification process. Hence, they settle down below the anode as anode mud.
