From the known n factor means for strong acids and bases it would be its highest oxidation or reduction state for that particular central atom.
Therefore examples like H2SO4 with 2 strong acidic Hydrogens would have 2 as its n-factor.
 For NaOH it is 1. And so on.

See the no. Of H+ or OH- given by comoundEx H2SO4 gives 2H+ and SO4²– then n=2. Ex NaOH gives Na+ and OH- hence n= 1
