how are magnetic quantum no.s assigned to subshells? for ex: what will be the quantum  no. of PX?

m would depends on the l that is type of subshell in the atom.
Here it is P that is l that is azimuthal number here would be => 1.
And hence therfore, m = -1,0,1

@vikasTU yesssssss,but which magnetic  quantum no.  should be assigned to PX, spefically?and to Py & Pz?

If l=1 , that represents p- orbitals set px, py, pz.Then m = -1, 0 , +1 Px Py PzSo you can assign the number -1 for Px .
