HELLO,
Let M be the metal 
so we have from the data that,
MCO3 = 3gms
MO = 1.8gms
So let X be the weight of metal M 
So we get,
(X + 12 + 48) / 3 = (X + 16)/1.8
by solving the equation we get,
 X = 50
So molecular weight of the metal = 50
