what do u mean by wave function

Answers : (1)

Dear Rupen,

Term wave function is generally used in quantum mechanics. This wave fuctions have no physical meaning. But they contain a lot of information about the particle for which it is written such as momenta by using -i h/2π ð/ðx operator or function on it and the square of its amplitude probability as the fuction of position. Thus by substuting the various vaues of x we can get the probability of finding that particle at that position.

It is Osmium. The higher density of Osmium may be explained on the basis of its higher atomic mass and greater value of effective nuclear charge onto its outermost electrons.
