SINCE 2 ELECTRONS ARE INVOLVED IN THE PROCESS, ACCORDING TO THE DEFENITION OF N-FACTOR THE N-FACTOR OF THE REACTION IS 2

for acid n factor is decided by its acidity for example if there is HCl then its acidity will be 1 and for base it is decided by basicity. In a redox rean n factor is decided by its intial oxidation state to final oxidation state. As you asked for the reaction turning H+ to H2 then intially oxidation state was +1 and finally it converts into 0 bcoz oxidation state for any element in the free state is 0. for example

    K2Cr2O7+FeSo4---->2Cr+3+Fe+3

intially cr was in +6 and finally it converts into +3 in the same way Fe was intially in +2 and finally in converts into +3.

pls approve if u r satisfied.
