Though sulphurec acid is used as a dehydrating agent it is not used for dehyderating ammonia. Why?
Note that hydrated ammonia is basically ammonium hydroxide(NH4OH),which is a base and sulphuric acid is a strong acid. Ithink that you have got the answer now. If we use sulphuric acid to dehydrate ammonia, a neutralisation reaction will start leading to the formation of the salt ammonium sulphate, which is obviously not what we desire.
