hi,

piyush

in a lead storage battery ,there are two types of reactions: charging &discharging

discharging means battery in use

anode:solid lead rod

cathode:lead dioxide

at anode lead sulphate is deposited

at cathode lead sulphate &water is produced

so (b)  is most appropriate.

sulphuric acid gets consumed with time.
