1.0gm of Mg atoms in the vapour phase absorb 50.0kJof kinetic energy.find the composition of the final mixture ,if the first and second ionisation energies of Mg are 740 and 1450 kJ/mole respectively

for 24grs of Mg = 1 mole  then 24*50 + 1200KJ/mole
in the forst ionisation 740kJ/mole energy used, therefore remaing energy is 1200 – 740 = 460KJ/mole, which is used for conversion of Mg+2

therefore 1540KJ is 1mole
460KJ is ?
\left \lfloor 460\div 14500 \right \rfloor \times 100  ans is 31.72% of Mg+2 and remaining 68.28 % is Mg+1
