The isomerism arises due to the presence of different alky l groups attached to the same
bivalent functional group is called. Metamerism Ethers, secondary amines, ketones, etc., can exhibit
metamerism.
example:
C2H5OC2H5(Diethylether) and C3H7OCH(Methyl propyl ether).

Metamerism is due to the difference in nature of alkyl groups attached to the same functional group.This type of isomerism is shown by compounds of the same homologous series.
 
Example:methyl propyl ether.
