HELLO NITESH
your question is very great
why because i will tell you
actually trichloroacetaldehyde do not contain alpha hydrogen atom but then also it will give positive result for cannizaro reaction and this compound is the great exception for the cannizaro reaction
i will explain you the reaction
trichloroacetaldehyde is trearted with NaOH solution and it gives sodium trichloroacetate along with trichloro alcohol
the mechanism here is different than other compounds which undergo cannizaro reaction like HCHO
that is nothing but i will explain belopw as follows
in the cannizaro reaction the compounds without alpha hydrogen atoms is trated seperatedly
i e
through a series of equilibria the ALDEHYDE WILL GO DISPROPRTIONATE REACTION INTO CORRESPONDING CARBOXYLATE AND ALCOHOL

THE ABOVE CONCEPT IS VERY VERY IMPORTANT FOR COMPETIEIVE NATIONAL LEVEL EXAMS
ALL THE BEST FOR YOU
AND THANK YOU FOR POSTING SUCH A GREAT QUESTION
THANKS
