ethanal’s alpha hydrogen that is Hydrogen involved with the alpha carbon havinng =O that is
H of CH3 group along with OH- anion the whole combination of water molecule would get eliminated.
and the compund would form as an unsaturated compund.
In cross aldol two ethanal would react or undergoes the aldol condensation reaction.
and same with propanal.
