In enantiomersim chiral carbon is not essential condition then there any possibility that enantiomers are optically inactive because for optically active chiral carbon is an essential condition

only few compounds like biphenyls allenes spiro shows enantiomerism without chiral carbons. In rest of the cases there must be a chiral centre. In case of more than one chiral centres the meso compound only do not show optical isomerism.
