n-butyl here stands as normal butane that is simple saturated carbon chain having 4 carbons attached to the benzene as a substituent at first Carbon atom and can be distinguished by the Hyperconjugation. Only two H atoms are n hypecnojagation
Whereas in,
m-dimethyl benzene  6 H atoms are in hyperconjugation.
