Actually there is only key that is practice . u can take help of ncert and ncert explins each and every mechanism in a quite well precisely , frst strong your base then move on to the next thing . 
i am suggesting some tips for that , kindly follow it 
1- frst of all make a list of all the name reaction in the sheet and paste it on your study room . 
2- reagents should have to be marked on the book itself when u are studying
3- but , while u wake up in the morning , just do look upon that once , only name reaction and mechanism , 
it wioll not take more than 30 minute to do that , 
do this only by short method , not by long process , only what is happening thats it . 
and in every wekend what u have to do is , take a notebook , and write all the reaction mechanism without looking the book , do it atleast for 1 mnth , then i could sure that u will be familier with that very soon . 
there is some mnemonics avaliable to remember the reaction steps , kindly do use that , 
and try to look upon the askiitian video , beacuse our brain is more sensitive towards the visual part than the audio one .
