Suppose a block is hanging to the roof with an ideal thread. If a bullet strikes the mass from bottom then how is the scenario different if the bullet strikes it from the top... Basically regarding momentum, tension developed and energy conservation

Dear Student,
At the point when the projectile strikes from the base, the pressure in the string will vanish in order to adjust the weight and pseudo constrain acting downwards.
The constrain applied by bullet=weight of the block+weight of the bullet+pseudo drive acting downwards
The force will be changed from 0 to (mass of the block+mass of the bullet) x velocity of the projectile. Which will be same when the projectile strikes at the best.
Energy is monitored here since interior compel is 0.
at the point when the projectile strikes at the best, huge compel is made downwards and the pressure and the pseudo drive needs to adjust the heaviness of the piece, shot and the constrain made by the slug when it strikes the square.
since the perfect string will have 0 flexibility the pressure moves toward becoming endlessness and the string breaks.
Cheers!!
