imp features of maxwell distribution curve 
1- the fraction molecule with a low or very high velocity is very small . 
2- the fraction of molecules possesing high or higher speeds goes on increasing till it reaches the peak , and thereafter it starts decreasing . 
3- the maximum fraction of molecule posses a velocity corresponding to a peak in curve , this speeds corresponding the peak in curve is reffred as most probable speed . 
4- the area under the curve given the total no of gas molecules .
