A rocket is moving in a gravity free space with a constant acceleration of 2 metre per second square along positive X direction the length of a chamber inside the rocket is 4 metre A ball is drawn from the left end of the chamber in positive X direction with a speed of 0.3 metre per second and other ball is thrown from the right side with a speed of 0.2 metre per second related to the rocket the time in second when the two girls hit Each Other Is???

A/c to the given ques if the balls are thrown with opposite ends of the chamber of length 4m, then let `t` be the time when the balls hit each other. Now by applying Pesedu force we are sttoping the rocket and now all equations are in from frame of rocket and let `x1` and `x2` be the distance covered by two balls in time `t` , then X1 + X2 = 4 X1= 0.3t + 0.5(-2)t*t X2= 0.2t + 0.5(2)t*t So, X1 + X2 = 0.3t+0.5(-2)t*t+0.2t + 0.5(2)t*t 4 = 0.5t + 0 t = 4/0.5 t = 8 seconds. the wall of the chamber will strike the ball (0.3m/s) in 0.3s
1/22t^2= 0.3t
t=0.3s
1st ball travelled =0.3*0.3= 0.09
in this time another ball travelled 0.2*0.3=0.06
remaining dist.3.65
x=1/2(2)t^2 & 3.65-x = 0.2t
on solving
t^2+0.2t -3.65=0
t= 1.7 +0.3= 2s

Girls cannot hit each other as there are no girls thrown ...Even if they are thrown they u should specify from where r they hit

Velocity of the rocket is 2t(given dv/DT=2)by relative velocity equation for the particle moving with 0.3 we get x1=t^2+3t similarly x2=0.2-t^2 so by adding both the equation we get x1+x2=0.5t by this t = 8

Rocket has acceleration in the direction left ball hence for right ball acceleration of left ball is−2ms−2and for left ball acceleration of right ball is2ms−2.

assuming when they hit each other the displacement of right ball isS.
∴displacement of left ball is4−S. because length of rocket is4m.
for right ball,
S = 0.3t − (1/2)×2t2
for left ball,
4−S = 0.2t + (1/2)×2t2
equating both the equations we get,
t = 8sec

I hope this answer will help you.
