A 6000 kg rocket is set for vertical firing. if the exhaust speed is 1000 m/s, the gas ejected per second to supply the thrust needed to overcome the weight of the rocket is 6 kg/s 60kg/s 600kg/s 6000kg/s

A 6000 kg rocket is set for vertical firing. if the exhaust speed is 1000 m/s, the gas ejected per second to supply the thrust  needed to overcome the weight of the rocket is
  1. 6 kg/s
  2. 60kg/s

the formula for thrust is that,
F(thrust)=u(relative)x(dm/dt)
for the rocket for escape gravity,
F(thrust)=F(wieght)
=>1000x(dm/dt)=mg=6000x10
=>dm/dt=60
therefore for the rocket to fly the mass released perseconf equals to 60kg/s
