For the motion of a particle, velocity  'v' depends on displacement x as v=20/(3x-2).If at t=0,x=0 then at what time t, the x=20?

Dear sindhuja

v= dx/dt=20/(3x-2)

 (3x-2)dx = 20 dt

(3x-2)dx = 20 dt

 3 x2/2 -2x  =20t +C

given at t=0 ,x=0

so C=0

3 x2/2 -2x  =20t

now put x =20t

3*202/2 -2*20 =20t

or t= 30-2 =28 sec

v=u+at as v=u+at we can abe to find v as u=zeo and h=vsquare /2g from it we can find h v=36 and t in that particular projectile is 4 sec so h=1296/18 h=72

Sorry, I didn’t understand your question fully. How can we tell just seeing upon magnitudes of the forces without direction. U must provide some direction of forces acting on any object.

I think your question is not clear. Yes it is possible to apply gauss theorem for a finite wire.. Apply it like you do to a sphere or any other body.
